This tour starts with a delicious breakfast with an early morning breeze in Delhi and later a road journey to Agra. En-route to Agra, visit the Sikandra Fort – mausoleum of Emperor Akbar, situated 4kms from Agra. On arrival at Agra, book a room in hotel and get ready to take a journey to the most romantic monument in the world history – Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal was built in an era when love was no lesser than a religion itself. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal clearly signifies the emotion of love Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan had for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who was a persian princess. This master piece took about 22 years to complete in 1652 and still stands tall with all its glory. For almost every tourist who visits India, Taj Mahal is one of their first destinations. This monument was decorated with precious and semi-precious stones carved in the white marble. After experiencing the enchanting beauty of Taj Mahal, indulge yourself in the delicious Mughlai styles buffet in your hotel.

Next destination is the Agra Fort, situated on the right bank of the Yamuna River, is equally important historically like Taj Mahal. This fort is built in red sandstone, which is why it is also known as Red Fort. Initially, this fort had two entrances, Delhi Gate and the Amar Singh Gate but now, only Amar Singh Gate is functional. It is in this fort where Aurangzeb kept his father Shah Jahan under house arrest. From this fort, Shah Jahan managed to have one of the most beautiful views of his beloved’s tomb and he also died in this fort. The Agra fort comprises fairy-tale palaces like Jehangit Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Khas Mhal and Deewan-e-Am.

After exploring the two most important monuments of Agra, make sure you don’t miss to visit the marble factory where you can see the basics of the Mughal artistry. In this factory, you get a chance to experience how a beautiful artwork piece is made by fitting precious and semi-precious stones in the shinning white marble. Return to your hotel and relax overnight.
